TOMODACHI US-Japan Baseball Exchange Program

The TOMODACHI US-Japan Baseball Exchange program took place from July 27-July 29, 2013 in Ishinomaki, Miyagi with a total of 48 boys from Hawaii and Ishinomaki.

In addition to splitting up into teams and participating in baseball games, the boys toured Ishinomaki and volunteered with chaperones at a beach cleanup. The boys also helped a fisherman family hand process seaweed to make wakame, a staple ingredient in miso soup.
