TOMODACHI Orpheus Chamber Orchestra 2014 Japan Tour Education Engagement

On February 5, 2014, members of the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra performed at Tokyo Electron Hall Miyagi in Sendai and TOMODACHI supported 45 students from Shukoh Middle School in Miyagi prefecture to visit the orchestra members where they observed the orchestra’s dress rehearsal and performance with Nobuyuki Tsujii, a globally renowned pianist.  Following the rehearsal, the students divided into three groups and shared their impressions of the collaborative process, their perceptions of the process’ successes and challenges, and the differences between the Orpheus model and other team experiences.  Read More>> 

 

On May 31, 2012, members of the New York-based Orpheus Chamber Orchestra conducted a music workshop for 100 students at Shukoh Middle School in Tagajo City, Miyagi Prefecture.  Read story here>
