Kyushu Alumni Event Recap: Holiday Dinner

Kyushu region hosted a Holiday Dinner 2025 on December 18th in Fukuoka city.
Despite the busy end-of-year season, 23 people gathered from across the region, not only from Fukuoka but also from Saga, Oita, and Kumamoto and we were able to spend a truly warm and relaxed evening together.
We shared what we are working on now, what we care about, and the challenges we want to take on next.
It was the first event for the newest Core Committee member for Sakiko Himori, and she did a wonderful job supporting the event. She came up with an idea of having every attendee fill out a small message card, so that it reaches someone in the room who has worked hard this year. The direction was “Please write a word or short message that has encouraged you or given you strength— or simply a gentle phrase that comes to mind. It doesn’t need to be perfect or strong. This will be shared anonymously with someone here (it might even come back to you)!” Everyone received a card with a warm message to take home. It was such a perfect activity and a gift for the end of the year celebration!
It was a great reminder of how strong and meaningful the connections within the TOMODACHI community are!!
