TOMODACHI Boeing Entrepreneurship Seminar : In-person Event Held in Yokohama and Online Final Presentation
The participants of the TOMODACHI Boeing Entrepreneurship Seminar had their long-awaited in-person meeting in Yokohama on February 19th, 2024. During the fieldwork, conducted in four groups, they utilized the analogy method, based on their own insights, to reevaluate their program plans from various perspectives. Additionally, in a World Cafe format, they organized a workshop where they freely discussed to incorporate feedback into each project by engaging in dialogue to exchange and expand ideas.
On February 25th, as the culmination of the 8-month program, the final presentation meeting was organized online. In the first half of the program, team members presented their projects that they had worked and developed for several months, while the second half offered a space where the participants had a chance to reflect on overall experiences about the program and the announcement of individual evaluations.
On the presentation day, Mr. Shotaro Abe, who is now actively involved as a leader in the Kamakura Classic Project (a group project by those who love Kamakura and orchestra), joined the event as an alumnus of the TOMODACHI program. He reflected on his own his TOMODACHI experiences and shared his stories about his continuous journey as a leader.
Lastly, 5 members were selected to participate in the U.S. study tour based on a comprehensive evaluation; their commitment to the program, overall contributions, and feedback from guest speakers.
One of the students who participated in the program shared their thoughts as follows: “I am grateful for the dedicated team members who brought diverse voices to discussions. We inspired each other in every meeting. It was a truly rewarding experience to work together. The final presentation was a collaborative effort with each member demonstrating their best abilities.
I am filled with gratitude. We also discussed how we would like to apply the 8 months learning experiences to our future endeavors.”
This program is made possible by generous support from the Boeing Company.
