Announcing the New Regional Leaders of the TOMODACHI Regional Framework for 2020!

Sixteen Regional Leaders and Regional Mentors, all alumni of various TOMODACHI programs – with support from the U.S. Embassy and Consulates across Japan – will lead the TOMODACHI Generation by creating opportunities for alumni to connect in each region and tackle various challenges together. The TOMODACHI Generation Regional Framework will support alumni engagement by furthering opportunities for alumni to connect with, empower, and inspire one another in their respective regions across Japan.

New Regional leaders:

Tohoku-Hokkaido, Team A: Hiromi Waragai (supported by Regional Mentor: Nanako Saito)

Tohoku-Hokkaido, Team B: Hinako Owada (supported by Regional Mentor: Kanako Ishikura)

Kanto, Team A: Shunsuke Watando (supported by Regional Mentor: Kenji Negi)

Kanto, Team B: Hiroko Ogasawara (supported by Regional Mentor: Hiroko Hiraki)

Chubu-Hokuriku: Taiki Ito (supported by Regional Mentor: Shinichi Fukunaga)

Kansai-Chugoku-Shikoku: Maho Kitano (supported by Regional Mentor: Miki Sakata)

Kyushu: Haruka Kurosawa (supported by Regional Mentor: Taito Kameishi)

Okinawa: Rika Yonamine (supported by Regional Mentor: Sarah Arao)
