TOMODACHI P5 Youth Entrepreneur Summer Exchange Program Kick-Off
On June 29th 2013, eight students and their chaperones gathered at the Ofunato City Hall to kick off the TOMODACHI P5 Youth Entrepreneur Summer Exchange program. After an introduction from the mayor of Ofunato, the students took part in an introductory IT workshop and the parents were presented with suitcases to help their children start packing for their trip and monetary gifts to cover any fees for passports and visas.
The TOMODACHI P5 Youth Entrepreneur Summer Exchange program will take the students to Seattle and Washington D.C. where they will develop business and entrepreneurship skills with hopes that the technology-focused workshops will underpin a growing network of Youth Entrepreneur Clubs in Tohoku. The program will take place from July 31 to August 10.
