TOMODACHI 2013 Spring Break Homestay Program
The TOMODACHI 2013 Spring Break Homestay Program provides 20 Japanese junior high and high school students from Fukushima, Miyagi, and Iwate Prefectures with the opportunity to live with an American family and learn about American culture.This homestay program is administered by BIEE.
Participants will go to either Virginia or Indiana in the United States to experience living with a host family from March 22 – April 5, 2013 for two weeks during their spring break. Through this program, students will live with their host families, experience high school life, and participate in various cultural exchange activities. This program will provide students with different perspectives on life, meet diverse people with different views, and will learn the joy of communicating in English with their host family, the local people, and their friends.
