“Mission Possible” – Tom Cruise Supports Japan Relief, TOMODACHI
December 2, 2011 – Actor Tom Cruise showed his support for the people of Japan by meeting with residents of Fukushima Prefecture before a screening of his new movie “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” at the Roppongi Hills complex in downtown Tokyo. Together with U.S. Ambassador to Japan John Roos, Mr. Cruise signed a banner highlighting the TOMODACHI initiative.
Ichiro Okazaki, President of Paramount Pictures Japan, later commented, “His presence and collaboration pleased the people from Fukushima who attended the red carpet event. Tom told me that he was privileged to join the TOMODACHI project. For him it was one of the best experiences he’s ever had in Japan.”
TOMODACHI would like to thank Mr. Cruise and Paramount Pictures for all of their assistance and support as we move forward to implementing programs for the people of Japan.
