Okinawa Students Participate in the TOMODACHI-Ryukyu Frogs Jr. Program 2013
Ryukyu Frogs is an Okinawa-based program supported by an IT corporation that invests in developing future IT business leaders. Ryukyu Frogs has been sending students to the United States for five years. This year, the TOMODACHI Initiative supported four high school students who traveled from Okinawa to the United States to participate in a ten-day exchange program.
During their ten-day visit to Silicon Valley, California, students had the opportunity to visit local businesses, where they learned about entrepreneurship, and also attended a lecture at Stanford University. The students were energized by these new experiences, which included meeting many influential and successful people, and their experiences may inspire them to become future entrepreneurs.
