Young Americans Complete Their Tour with a Farewell Event in Tokyo

The Young Americans, a group of talented performing arts students from the U.S. that conducts workshops for young people in Japan, concluded their two month tour to Tohoku with a final performance at the Olympic Center in Tokyo on November 13.  The Young Americans participated in two TOMODACHI tours in 2013: the Young Americans Tohoku Tour 2013 supported by Toyota Motor Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, and Hitachi Ltd., and the TOMODACHI Young Americans Mini Workshop Tour supported by Goldman Sachs. These programs brought Japanese and American youth together to practice American-style singing and dancing, with the aim to promote self-expression through the power of musical theatre.
