Kansai Region Framework: Expo Event

On July 5th, Kansai region had the special event at Expo USA pavillion with 20 TOMODACHI alumni from different regions and 10 Youth Ambassadors from Sister city international. Starting from the USA pavillion tour where we can find TOMODACHI panel, we enjoyed a lively discussion and networking time. With the theme of “Imagine our future”, we imagined ourselves in five year to realize our passion and discussed how we could contribute to U.S.-Japan relations as the next generation. One alumni said that, “We had a very productive discussion about the future of our world and what roles we would like to play in it!” Another said that “It was a meaningful and inspring time to conncet with many people from different background and career paths. I think the strength between Japan and the U.S. is people to people conncetions.” New conncetions and learning in this event would definitely be our power to create the bright future together! This special opportunity was possible with the collaboration with DeJia Long-Hillie, former Kansai regional reperesentative and currently back to Japan as Youth Ambassador! Thank you!
