Application Open for the TOMODACHI MUFG Sustainable Entrepreneurship Program

The TOMODACHI MUFG Sustainable Entrepreneurship Program is a leadership development program for high school students across Japan that focuses on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and fosters a passion to change the world for the benefit of people and the planet. The program aims to foster sustainable entrepreneurship that pursues social, environmental, ecological, and economic value, based on the idea that “entrepreneurship” and “leadership” are something that everyone can possess and demonstrate. Through pre-training and U.S. training, the program provides participants with the ability to design new social systems that transcend the boundaries of predecessors’ ideas, face challenges, and continue to take new steps and challenges.
Schedule
Entry period: April 15, 2024 – May 8, 2024
Notification of the result: May 20, 2024
Pre-seminar (virtual): June 1, 8, 15, 29, and July 13, 2024
U.S. Training (in person): July 29 – August 5, 2024, Arrive in Japan on August 6
Final Presentation (in person, Tokyo): Late August 2024 (TBD)
Application Requirements
・Students who are currently enrolled in high school in Japan
・High school students who want to be a part of a team to make the world happy.
・High school students who believe in their own potential and wish to continue challenging themselves to achieve it.
・High school students who are not overconfident in their past experience and knowledge, but feel that “I don’t know what I can do yet, but I might be able to do something,” and wish to take the first step forward.
・High school students who may have little confidence in communicating in English, but wish to become able to do so.
・High school students who feel that there are few or no opportunities for them to travel abroad.
・High school students who can commit to participating in all program dates from June to August 2024.
・High school students who have a computer that can be used by themselves and that can use basic online applications such as zoom and Google Drive, as well as a network environment (mobile Wi-Fi devices can be loaned after participation is confirmed, depending on housing conditions, etc.)
