TOMODACHI Award at the University Venture Grand Prix 2013
The TOMODACHI Award will be awarded to two of the winning groups from the University Venture Grand Prix (UVGP) 2013 entrepreneur contest, which was established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), The Tokyo New Business Conference and other collaborators.
The winning teams selected at the UVGP will have the opportunity to go to Silicon Valley, California to present their ideas to American venture capitals and influential startups such as Y Combinator, 500 startups, DCM, and Draper Fisher Jurvetson in March 2014.
The goal of this program is to provide promising young Japanese entrepreneurs with the opportunity to meet with influential startups and VCs in order to inspire and empower them to greater heights.
