Ayano Yabuki joined the TOMODACHI Initiative as an intern in September 2014. In the months that followed, she became an integral part of the TOMODACHI team. Staff and interns describe her as cheerful, bright, responsible, dedicated and hard working. Above all, she is forward thinking – taking challenges in stride, learning and finding the positive in all experiences. Although the fall internship’s work is light on events, she found herself meeting several high-level delegations from the United States, supporting the development and events of the TOMODAHI Alumni Leadership Program, and helping with reports and articles.
