The TOMODACHI Boeing Keio SFC Entrepreneurship Seminar Midterm Report
On May 22, 2022, TOMODACHI Boeing Keio SFC Entrepreneurship Seminar Midterm report was held online.
This year’s program started in December 2021; twenty-three (23) high school and university students participated. In order to delve deeper and build the necessary skills to lead and solve social issues, the students were divided into five groups. From January 2022, in their perspective teams the students brought their ideas and discussed ways to solve the social issues chosen based on their interests.
The five groups first undertook a voluntary activity for about three months and made presentations on the progress and future of their actions on May 22. Students worked on a wide range of activities, including community formation for students, interaction with people around the world, visualization of changes in the feelings of young people, and support for women regarding period and reproductive health.
Boeing Japan further showed its support and commitment to the program through the active participation of its employees in providing feedback and advise to the students after each group presentation.
On July 10th, three employees from Boeing Japan participated as guest speakers and gave presentations on Boeing’s efforts and careers. A debriefing session kicked off the program’s final day on July 24th. The four participants selected through the program are scheduled to participate in the training held in the United States in August. This year’s seminar theme is “Well-being.” Each student will consider social issues centered on Well-being.
