    TOMODACHI Alumni Learning Journey on Leadership

    This two-day program with TOMODACHI alumni provides an in-depth leadership development opportunity for the young leaders. The Journey lays a foundation of continuing realization of their leadership potential and support network after the program. The program adapts WIT (World in Tohoku)’s model of building capacity of social entrepreneurs and leaders from diverse fields to create long-term social impact in the society.

    April 23-24, 2016

    Eligibility

    • Attended at least one of the TOMODACHI Initiative programs
    • High school students, university students, and recent graduates
    • Can fully attend the TOMODACHI Alumni Learning Journey from April 23 to 24, 2016 in Tokyo
    • Can attend three online peer-to-peer coaching sessions (one hour per session) after the TOMODACHI Alumni Learning Journey (from May to August; specific dates are TBD)
    • Proficient in Japanese

    Objective of Program

    1) Identify one’s own leadership style and skill set
    2) Develop and/or find resources and support networks to realize one’s potential
    3) Apply the leadership potential to the community and/or work environment

    Selection Criteria

    • Has leadership potential
    • Be willing to identify one’s leadership style and apply it to the community and/or work environment
